We’re very excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual Hot August Knits Yarn Crawl! There are lots of other great shops that are participating this year, so we’d like to take a minute to tell you a little more about the shops participating north of us!
Cowgirl Yarn in Laramie, WY is a one of a kind boutique in downtown Laramie, Wyoming, with everything for the modern knitter: luxurious yarns, exotic needles, fashion-forward patterns, unusual accessories, and oodles of inspiration. The store was formerly known as In Sheep’s Clothing. We have changed the name to better reflect our region, Wyoming and the Front Range, where we serve and support local fiber artists and enthusiasts. During the yarn crawl, they will be having a truck show featuring “Out on a Bead,” which are dicroic buttons. On August 26 from 12:00 – 6:00pm, they will have baby lambs (!!!!!!) from the Wind Dance Ranch on their back patio, and make sure to visit the downtown Laramie Farmer’s Market on August 19 and 26.
Ewe Count in Cheyenne, WY has been run by Penny since 1994. They carry yarns for knitting and crocheting, as well as supplies for cross-stitching. They carry lots of different sock yarns, as well as quality yarns in wool, alpaca, mohair, cotton, bamboo and soysilk.
