I agree, the brown packing tape finish looks much better and would be my preference, but in a group situation is not at all feasible. I was also having trouble sourcing the brown packing tape on a roll. What I was finding was just in a roll without a core so as soon as it was taken out of the wrap it was rather disorderly unless you had a holder for it and the holders are pricey.

I was planning to make one out of water-activated packing tape a la http://www.threadbanger.com/episode/THR_20090403 , because I like the brown paper look better then the duct tape look, but then my boyfriend delivered me a vintage My Double wire dress form. Yay, score!

I hadn’t heard of KnitWear. I’ll definently try to be there.
